Sound Summit is thrilled to announce a brand new festival co-director for 2009/2010: Andrew Tuttle!
Andrew Tuttle is a sound artist, writer and curator currently based in Brisbane. Andrew’s musical works as Anonymeye blur boundaries between experimentalism and pop, acoustic and electronic, composition and improvisation; and have seen him perform throughout Australia and Europe, and record for independent labels including sound&fury, hellosQuare, and Feral Media.
Since 2005 Andrew has organised concerts under the Peer Pressure banner, including The Decline Of Modern Civilisation series and individual events for artists from around Australia and across the globe. Andrew is a contributor to Cyclic Defrost and Rave magazines, and has freelanced for other online and print publications nationwide.
Sound Summit is excited to have such an innovative practitioner involved in the festival’s program and looks forward to experiencing Sound Summit, Tuttle style. Massive thanks to festival patron saint, Millie Millgate, for being the saviour of Sound Summit again and again. For the last 3 years the festival has survived and thrived because of Millie’s passion and commitment to independent music and we will be forever indebted to her existence. We look forward to watching her goodness felt internationally in her new role as Export Music Services Producer for APRA | AMCOS.
